The EMDA Board of Directors just finished the annual Spring Board meeting and are ready to enjoy the afternoon exploring the Savannah area before the opening Welcome Reception tonight for the Spring Management Workshop.
The Board meets twice annually to reviews the current state of the Association and have a good start on pre-planning for the EMDA Fall convention this November 7-10 at the Hyatt Regency Houston.
The Spring Management Workshop sessions begin tomorrow morning with Milton King of Homeland Security Department who will about security issues affecting our industry: customs issues with imports, biosecurity, port issues, etc. This year’s Member on Display session will feature Jerry Nettles from Short Line Sales/Short Line Implement. And the morning’s agenda concludes with a report from EMDA’s Scholarship Committee headed by Steve Prouty.
Once the 2017 Spring meeting is concluded, staff will be work on site selection for the 2018 Spring Management Workshop.
