Catching Up with Former Executive VP Pat Collins

As we celebrate the birthday of our beloved former Executive Vice President, Pat Collins, we couldn’t resist checking in to see how she’s been enjoying retirement. While her presence at EMDA is sorely missed, it’s heartwarming to hear how she’s been filling her days with joy, adventure, and connection.

Pat shared that she’s been indulging in her love for musicals, making excellent use of EMDA’s generous theater gift card. From the sounds of it, she’s been enjoying plenty of show-stopping performances and memorable nights at the theater.

This past September, Pat celebrated her niece’s wedding in Minneapolis, where she also had the chance to catch up with the Edney’s. It was a special reunion that added an extra layer of joy to an already wonderful occasion.

A standout moment of her retirement so far has been a nine-day trip to Ireland. During her travels, Pat visited “her pub” in Adare, a spot recommended by Past President Bob Hamilton during his visit back in the early 2000s. Finally stepping foot into the cozy, charming establishment was a bucket-list experience for Pat, and it didn’t disappoint!

Interestingly, her time in Ireland almost included an EMDA reunion. Kris and Brittany Yancey with Implement Sales happened to be traveling there simultaneously, but despite their best efforts, their schedules just didn’t align. Still, the shared experience of being in the Emerald Isle underscored how EMDA connections pop up in the most delightful ways.

As Pat continues to embrace retirement with musicals, travels, and time spent with loved ones, we at EMDA wish her the happiest of birthdays. Pat, you’re dearly missed, but we’re thrilled to see you living life to the fullest! Cheers to another year of adventures and memories!
